Role Overview:

This is a rare opportunity to join a dynamic commercial disputes team and specialise in procurement disputes. In this newly created role you will collaborate with expert commercial disputes lawyers, providing top-tier support and advice in public procurement law to an array of clients, including government bodies, national agencies, NHS entities, educational institutions, charities, utility companies, and public sector suppliers ranging from SMEs to large PLCs.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Client Interaction: Support central and local government, national agencies, NHS bodies, education institutions, charities, and utility companies.

  • Procurement Disputes: Manage all aspects of procurement disputes and contentious advisory work for both procuring entities and suppliers.

  • Team Collaboration: Work closely with the commercial disputes team, public procurement specialists, and the commercial team.

  • Project Involvement: Participate in high-stakes panel appointments and collaborate with leading public sector bodies and suppliers.

  • Practical Solutions: Provide clients with pragmatic, commercially focused advice, leveraging your specialist knowledge to achieve clients’ objectives.

Requirements:

  • 6+ years’ PQE as a commercial litigator with an excellent knowledge of procurement disputes.

  • Proven experience in a highly regarded firm.

  • The ability to take responsibility for matters and clients, demonstrating success in business development and mentoring junior lawyers.

  • A willingness to support clients on general commercial litigation matters.
