In-House Financial Services Regulatory Lawyer

 

A unique opportunity has arisen in-house at an early stage fintech start-up for a talented financial services regulatory lawyer.

 

The Company

The company are a fintech start-up, but are a subsidiary of a well-known global financial services firm that is headquartered in London. The company is at the early stages and have some exciting products which will be coming to market in the next year.

 

The Team

It is currently a small team of 5 talented people who have expertise across large business and building up and exiting successful businesses. In the next six months the team will be 20 people. It is a

 

The Role

The successful regulatory solicitor will be the sole legal and compliance support for the start-up.

 

The role will be advising on regulatory and compliance issues, however being the sole legal counsel you can also look forward to also advising on a range of other issues including commercial, intra-company and technology contracts, corporate and governance issues and IP.

 

You will also liaise with the large legal team in the parent company and have external counsel on hand.

 

The Requirements

It is anticipated a 4-8 PQE solicitor will have the right level of experience for the role, although applications are welcome from those outside that range. Ideally you will have trained at a Magic or Silver Circle firm or a US firm and have qualified into the financial services regulatory team, or a similar department. If you have completed an in-house secondment this would be an advantage.
