Corporate Professional Support Lawyer
A really fantastic opportunity has arisen to join one of London’s top US law firms who are looking for a Professional Support Lawyer to join their Corporate/ M&A team in London.
The wider team is really friendly and they really pride themselves on their collegiate and welcoming atmosphere!
This is a broad and varied role, which will include but not be limited to the following areas: (i) providing advice on elements of the firm’s UK and cross border M&A transactions (whether it be takeovers, carve-outs, public to private joint ventures or distressed M&A) (ii) providing advice on the firm’s public company offerings (including corporate governance and compliance and equity capital markets (including IPOs); (iii) assisting with precedent updates; (iv) providing training to the wider team on legal and regulatory issues and (v) assisting the team in rolling out legaltech tools.
The role is initially for a 12-month fixed term contract but due to growth in the team, it is highly likely that it will turn into a permanent role in the future.
This role would suit candidates who are Corporate lawyers at another top tier law firm who are looking to step away from billable targets into more of an advisory/support role! Previous PSL’s have been lawyers looking to juggle family or out of work commitments with still maintaining their corporate skills – and the firm has been very accommodating of this in the past!
The firm are ideally seeking candidates with a minimum of 6 years PQE in another corporate role (but will review applications from candidates with less experience)
The role pays very well for the London market and this is a salary not to be missed! There is also a market leading benefits package, as you would expect from one of London’s top US law firms.
As such, if you are a Corporate Lawyer looking to move away from billable hours or an experienced Professional Support Lawyer looking for a new challenge, then please do get in touch for a confidential chat.
